Ideas for CD cover (A1)

Here is the single cover for the original single cover for 'California Gurls', it is very brightly coloured, although the actual artist has dark clothing on to enhance the colour of her hair and her facial features. The border around the CD cover is also bright colours and shows continuity with her hair colour and also the video itself. In my opinion, the font in on the CD cover works well as for the artists name and the name of the song, they are different. It connotes each word as 'California' is a huge state in a America which known for being fun and lively as the font shows. For the word 'gurls' the font is very 'girly' and also changing the word 'girls' to 'gurls' shows that the artist feels as she has power and wants to be different from other artists.
